UXUA Casa Hotel

Trancoso, Brazil.  It just sounds like paradise on Earth doesn't it?  Well actually it's just got that bit closer to being just that.  Wilbert Das (Creative Director of Diesel) is better known for his fashion designs, but this hotel is proof that he has many more strings to his creative bow than you might previously have thought.

Already a spot favored by Bvlgari (who held their holiday party there) and a plethora of high profile personalities who wish for a low profile break, UXUA (pronounced Ooshoowah) has also been built using only local labor and recycled and reclaimed materials.  This was something that Das was told was impossible at the start of the project.

UXUA has something special about it.  It's a breath of fresh air after the rise of the 'chain' boutique of the last decade, but don't take our word for it - read this piece in Vanity Fair for further evidence.

Also...watch this space for an in depth interview with Wilbert Das soon.

The Man With Kaleidoscope Eyes

Tripping The Art Fantastic - Los Angeles.

Alan Aldridge - perhaps the world's most prolific living illustrator and creator of The Beatles Illustrated Lyrics, The Butterfly Ball and some of the most iconic images of all time (including the Hard Rock Cafe logo) is producing a very small and exclusive show in Los Angeles this month.  This will be a precursor to a huge gallery show next year (watch this space for further details on that).  Here is the invitation:

It's at Mr Music Head on Sunset.  There will be a chance to buy some very rare Aldridge prints, including some that have been produced specifically for this show.  Alan will also be there signing copies of his book 'The Man With Kaleidoscope Eyes'.  There is a private view on the evening of the 29th.  If you wanna go, email us your name and your affiliation (if you don't know what that means then you won't make it onto the list) and we'll try to fit you in.  R.O.A.R.

No Such Agency World

Welcome to the No Such Agency Blog!

Here we will give you exclusive and up to date information about all our clients, associates, friends, events, products and more.  You'll also see where we've been, what we've been doing, who we've been doing it with.  We'll think of more stuff to add as we go along.

Firstly, you need to check out:  www.falconmotorcycles.com which went live this week

Falcon make bespoke custom motorcycles exclusively from old British bikes.  They take non-working frames and/or parts and bring them back to life as Falcons.  The picture above is of their first official 'Falcon' - 'The Bullet' which was made for actor Jason Lee (They Call Me Earl).  This bike won the Legends Of The Motorcycle award for Best Custom Motorcycle In Show.  That's like winning the Oscar for Best Actor at The Academy Awards.

Their new site gives you all the latest information about what Falcon are up to.  This is the stuff of legends.
